Our labels are inspired by a painting created by Katie, capturing the landscape that surrounds our winery. From this viewpoint, you can admire the village of Castelfranci in one of its most evocative perspectives.
The idea of redesigning our labels was born in April 2023. We were looking for an image that could truly tell our story and reflect the beauty of Irpinia.
Katie first visited our winery in September 2022. She immediately fell in love with the landscape and chose to spend the day on our second-floor balcony, painting what she saw. I still remember going upstairs after a tasting to share our wines with her while she worked.
That day, the painting remained unfinished. Katie and Brian later decided to join our vineyard adoption program, creating a deeper connection with our winery.
Almost a year later, in August 2023, I asked them to send the design for their personalized bottles as part of the adoption experience. By then, Katie had completed the painting and chose it as the label for her wines.
The moment we saw it, we were struck by its beauty. The label project we had started months before had gone through several drafts, but none truly felt right—until we discovered Katie’s work.
In October 2023, Katie returned to visit us, and we had the pleasure of handing her the bottles featuring her own label. It was a special day, made even more meaningful when she gifted us the original painting. With her permission to use it, everything became clear, and the project naturally came to life.
Today, that painting appears on all our bottles. We have preserved the original color distinctions between our wines, maintaining continuity with our past labels while embracing this new artistic identity.
We love the idea that, wherever our wines are enjoyed around the world, those who look at our bottles can relive memories of their visit—or imagine the landscape of Castelfranci, dreaming of experiencing it in person.
Today, our wines are truly a work of art.
